Javier Lovera

Born and raised in Colombia, Javier Lovera is a photographer, film director, and cinematographer, with an academic background in Aerospace Engineering (no, seriously!)

He produces high level still and motion content, tailored to the project and its requirements. Whether it is a guerrilla style shoot, a high end commercial with special effects, or a fashion editorial at a remote location, Lovera’s Studio can work with you and be part of the creative process from preproduction to delivery.

Recent commercial and editorial clients include ROOTS Canada, FASHION Magazine, Joe Fresh, Garnier, Marshalls, Homesense, and The Guardian.

In 2014, Javier directed, filmed, and produced his first short documentary titled, “Back to the Mountains”, which followed the first adaptive hiking team to attempt and complete the demanding W trek in Torres del Paine Natural Park, Patagonia, Chile. The film was selected by the National Film Board of Canada as the recipient of their Filmmakers Assistance Program Grant.

Lovera is the recipient of the 2009 Applied Arts Photo Annual award in the Fashion and Beauty Category.
