Amy Lu has an innate talent for fashion styling. Her success in the industry can be directly attributed to her passion, immense creativity and natural fashion sensibility.
She began her journey as a fashion stylist in 2001 and has since styled editorials for FASHION, Interview, Ocean Drive, Zink, Glow, People and Vanity Fair as well as national advertising campaigns for Coca Cola, Nike, Air Canada, and Timberland. Lu also boasts an impressive client list of celebrities and top models alike. Amy Lu’s professionalism and experience has given her the opportunity to work as the Fashion correspondent for the Peroni/Toronto Life Toronto Fashion Week blog, Fashion Editor of Donato Magazine as well as producing a weekly fashion column titled “Kool Thing”, in Vancouver’s The Georgia Straight for 8 years. In addition, Amy is also the style consultant for Global Televisions News anchors as well as the SCORE’s Sportscasters.
In 2003 Amy Lu was awarded the B.C. Apparel’s Fashion Stylist of the Year and voted one of Canada’s best dressed by FASHION Magazine. Her work with photographer Barbara Cole won Grand Prix of Fashion Photography at the 2008 BC Business Magazine Awards. She frequently appears in numerous media outlets such as the Globe and Mail, Much Music and Canada’s Next Top Model as an expert on fashion and style.
Amy, the “Fairy Godmother of Style”, has been featured in countless blogs and has been praised for her career success, trend forecasts and seasonal must- haves. She has been interviewed by TheStyleSpy.com, shopgen.ca, Blogtopsites.com/lamimi, happygrrls.blogspot.com and torontolife.com. Amy Lu is also featured on blanchemacdonald.com as one of the school’s award-winning graduates of the Fashion Merchandising program where she speaks about her success and offers sound advice for upcoming stylists.
