Oksana has been a prop stylist working primarily in food and beverage photography since 1995. This experience has provided her with a wealth of experience running her business, dealing with clients, and making new contacts with suppliers. Not only does Slavutych excel in the entire gamut of skills required for the job of prop stylist, such as sourcing, shopping, knowledge of suppliers and styling abilities, but her educational and applied background in art further enables her to make intelligent decisions regarding design and colour. Slavutych has a large tabletop props inventory which is constantly being updated, enabling her to quickly follow through with last minute changes. She has a network of associates available to her to assist in logistics, set building, and research into new props and suppliers.
Four years after Studying Interior Design in Montreal, Pierce found himself on a photo shoot assisting stylists and discovered the relationship between design and fashion. He then made his way to props and sets and hasn’t looked back.
“I always find it interesting to have to work as a sort of chameleon and appeal to the many different aesthetics of the client or art director I’m working with. That’s what keeps my job so fascinating, no two shoots are the same, keeps me on my toes.”
He knows the metro system like the back of his hand and always strikes up a conversation with his Über driver. When sourcing props he is willing to sift through vintage shops for days or carry a piano on his back.
He always shows up on set with a smile and a willingness to learn.
A creative entrepreneur from a young age, Armin Martiros worked with local boutiques creating window displays while he attended school. With the experience and the knowledge that Armin acquired, he eventually started his first company: A-Line Visual Merchandising in 1994, working with major commercial concerns such as The Hudson’s Bay Centre, Royal Bank Plaza, and Hazelton Lanes.
Armin’s passion for design and decor inspired him to create a line of home accessories, and this eventually led to the opening of an independent retail showroom, Ma Zone Home Decor; a favorite for local designers and the design savvy.
Armin has been the creative force behind Ma Zone for more than fifteen years. His award winning projects have been published both nationally and internationally, distinguishing him as an interior styling visionary. In addition to collaborating and creating collections with international designers and architects, Armin has shared his expertise through television appearances on The Designer Guys, and alongside design personalities such as Linda Reeves, Debbie Travis and Candice Olson.
Armin’s creative future promises to be revolutionary, filled with new, exciting and innovative endeavors that will be built on his unique vision, strong work ethic, and passion for design.
Stephanie began her career as a theatrical director, having trained at the prestigious York University theatre program before launching her own company, Theatre Ephemera, upon graduation. With two very successful shows under her belt, Stephanie followed a hunch and volunteered for a short film to see what life in movies was about. She caught the production bug that day and hasn’t looked back since.
After a few years of experience in Toronto’s booming commercial and music video industry, she was soon producing photoshoots for fashion and advertising photographers. While on-set, she re-discovered her love for the creative side and transitioned to styling props, sets and wardrobe. With her solid production background, talent for design and unlimited resourcefulness she is in very high demand.
For more than 12 years, Stephanie has conceptualized the vision of top creative teams and brands in a range of visual styles. She is highly respected in her field and has an extensive knowledge of interior design and a sharp eye for décor trends. She has appeared locally on Cityline and nationally on The Marilyn Denis Show as a design expert. She also writes for publications such as Toronto Life, Style at Home and Post City Magazine.
The photographers that Stephanie has worked with are among the best: Rob Fiocca, Chris Nicholls, Michael Graydon, Peter Schafrick, Virginia MacDonald, Stacey Brandford, Angus Fergusson, Shanghoon and Raina & Wilson.
Some of her notable advertising clients include Rogers, LCBO, Sony, Bell, Aldo, Town Shoes, Reebok, Homesense and Bombay Company.
Stephanie’s editorial clients include Style at Home, Toronto Life, Flare, Chatelaine, Canadian Living, Today’s Bride and Today’s Parent.
After studying contemporary painting and installation art at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Rodney’s passion for design soon drew him to the world of fashion. As a menswear and off figure stylist for Holt Renfrew’s flagship store he spent nearly a decade honing his craft through window installations and large events.
His career then blossomed to manage visual teams across the country for Caban, coordinating with buyers and Ralph Lauren International.
A styling post afterward with Joseph Mimran and Associates gave him the opportunity to work closely with well-respected designers and photographers to further develop the packaging for President’s Choice Home.
Rodney now happily works as a stylist with the team at Judy Inc to expand and share his knowledge of fashion, design and the image making process.
Linda studied interior design and fine arts in Los Angeles. Her studies led her to assisting set designers in L.A. and eventually designing on her own. After studying and working in Los Angeles Linda set off to New York City to tackle bigger and better projects. Upon arriving in NYC she quickly landed a job at the renowned Izquierdo Studios. Izquierdo Studios is the one place in NYC that can make whatever a client wants, no matter how bizarre. Linda worked on such projects as designing Bette Midler shows and creating sets for numerous Broadway plays.
Eventually Linda met famed photographer, Mark Seliger and her career as one of New York Cities busiest set /production designers took off. She began doing music videos, MTV award shows, movie posters and CD packaging. Once affiliated with an agent she was able to conquer the advertising and editorial worlds.
Linda has an extensive knowledge of design and art history from the Baroque period to the Modern and no job is ever too big or too small for her to execute. Depending on a client’s budget she has been known to physically design and build the set herself. At one point she even had her own faux finishing/trompe l’oeil painting company that catered to wealthy New York clients.
Her clients include, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sony Music, Elektra Records, Atlantic Records, Neiman Marcus, Entertainment Weekly, Teen People…too many to list here.
Linda holds dual citizenship, and is available for work in the US.
