Paula has more than 15 years experience photographing for national magazines, advertising and cookbooks. Her extensive list of repeat clients includes many of Canada’s top restaurants and chefs.

After studying Media Arts at Ryerson and shooting entertainment personalities from Cirque Du Soleil to Hollywood celebrities, Paula discovered a passion for food photography. Both an artist and a technician, Paula is equally comfortable working in the mad chaos of a kitchen or on the detailed planning of an editorial spread.

Gabe Toth is a Toronto based commercial, editorial and advertising photographer.  Originally hailing from Slovakia, the Heart of Europe, he made a trek to Canada.  When not busy shooting stills, liquids, desserts and beautiful people, he enjoys adventures, while still glued to his camera.

Sophie Carrière is a Montreal photographer with a 20 years of background in photography and food styling within the editorial and television industries. She is known for her versatility , adaptability, creativity where every project as a solution.

Colin Erricson, an award winning photographer with over twenty years of experience, is one of Toronto’s leading food photographers with a rich background in editorial, advertising, packaging, drinks and cookbooks. Clients include
Mondelez, General Mills, Nestlé, ConAgra, Post, Burnbrae Farms, Janes Family Foods, Walmart, Robert Rose Publishing, and Starbucks.

Colin studied fine art in addition to photography and this background in artistic application and painting has provided a comprehensive understanding and eye for the use of lighting, shading, texture and atmosphere in just the right combination to create each photographic image.  He applies this to food photography by recognizing and capturing the beauty, color and texture of food using composition and lighting, which is enhanced by backgrounds, props and an accomplished use of digital techniques. Colin, one of the first photographers in Canada to “go digital”, believes that the raw capture is only the beginning of the process towards the final image. Proper color enhancement and retouching are applied to each photograph, and each image that leaves his hands is “ready to go to press”.

A team player, Colin enjoys collaborating with other artists, art directors, designers, food and prop stylists, combining each element of talent to create stellar imagery.

Matt Johannsson is a Toronto-based photographer who has been shooting food, drink, table-top, packaging, editorial, and book covers for over ten years. His clients include Smucker’s, Nestle, SIR Corp, Agropur, Post Foods, Concord Premium Meats and Harlequin.

As a food photographer, Matt feeds the eyes. Composition and colour, light and shadow, all work together to create dynamic images that define the relationship between food and feeling. Matt’s images capture food’s power to evoke disparate sensations: a momentary recognition of the familiar or the excitement of the unfamiliar, the nostalgic or the bold, the subtle or the adventurous. As an avid cook and culinary experimentalist, Matt recognizes the power of food to draw people together, to mark occasions, and to provoke discussion.

In his studio practice, Matt focuses on the collaborative process, helping to translate his client’s vision into photographic form. Committed to the values of cooperative creation, Matt enjoys both pre- and post-production work. Photographic retouching is a particular passion, allowing Matt to further build upon powerful, resonant images.
